Sports Gear Swap
Description
The Recreation Commission Partners with Pedals for Progress and Sewing Peace
The Delaware Township Recreation Commission is hosting another Sports Gear Swap on April 22nd from 9am to 12pm at Dilts Farm Park’s pavilion. Bring any sports gear you have around the house that you don’t use anymore and donate it to someone that can use it. You don’t need to donate something to take something you need.
New this year, we will be partnering with Pedals for Progress and Sewing Peace. We will be collecting adult and kids’ bikes (no trikes) and sewing machines to send to Togo, Rwanda, Tanzania, Belize, and Guatemala. Help us put your unused bikes and sewing machines to good use in the developing world. Your donation can make a substantial impact on someone’s life. A donation of $20 per item is requested to help offset shipping costs overseas. All material and monetary donations are tax-deductible, and a receipt will be provided on site. Bikes should be rust-free. Bikes with flat tires in need of some repairs are accepted. Portable sewing machines should be in working condition. For more information, please contact alan@p4p.org.
