Affordable Housing:
Delaware Township is in the process of creating Accessory Apartments by private property owners for occupancy by moderate income tenants as required by the State of New Jersey.
Homeowners who may be interested in providing accessory apartments should check back on this site for an application and for a copy of the regulations.
The Delaware Township Road Department will chip fallen branches from the Oct. 29th snowstorm. Branches must be gathered and placed at roadside with the cut edge facing the road. Branches must be off the macadam or stone road surface so traffic is not blocked. The Road Dept. will be performing this service when it is not otherwise busy with usual Autumn road maintenance work. Please be patient. It will take many weeks to reach everyone.
No dogs, except any guide, service and/or working dog in use pursuant to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, are allowed in the Delaware Township Municipal Building.
The next Delaware Township Clean Up Day will be held on April 12, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Township Garage.

Residents with damage due to Hurricane Irene can begin registering with FEMA at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 800-462-7585 for those with hearing or speech impairments. The phones lines are staffed 7 days a week from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Residents can also register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov. All residents with damage from Irene are advised to register.
Raritan Valley Disposal is accepting tree branches, limbs and stumps at its Recycling Center at no cost. Bring these items to 79 River Road in Raritan Township.
