Township Building Office Hours

The Township Building will be open Mon/Wed from 8 to 4:30. on Tues/Thur from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wed from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Fri from 8 to 12:30 p.m.
Individual departments have different hours.

No dogs, except any guide, service and/or working dog in use pursuant to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, are allowed in the Delaware Township Municipal Building.

Tax Information

The 2016-2017 tax bills are being mailed out the week of July 11th, 2016.  Taxes are due August 1st.

NEED TAX INFORMATION?  Click here for Resident Tax Information  PRINT YOUR TAX BILL, SEE TOTAL DUE, SEE ALL PAYMENTS MADE FOR THIS YEAR AND LAST YEAR, AND SEE AMOUNT OF YOUR HOMESTEAD REBATE (IF APPLICABLE).  NO CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS MAY BE ACCEPTED ONCE A PROPERTY IS INCLUDED ON THE TAX SALE LIST.

FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE, YOU CAN PUT TAX PAYMENTS IN THE SECURE DROP BOX IN THE TOWNSHIP BUILDING PARKING LOT.

Resident Tax Information 

The 2015 Property Tax Reimbursement Program aka Senior Freeze. Deadline extended to October 17, 2016.

The 2013 Homestead Benefit Credits have been applied to the May 2016 tax quarter. Adjusted bills for May quarter ONLY were mailed out March 21, 2016.

Only residents who were entitled to this benefit will get adjusted bills.  Thank you.

The Board of Health has requested that our township Animal Control Officer no longer trap healthy wildlife for township residents. 

Residents with Verizon land line telephone and/or high speed internet service who have service complaints should contact Verizon's Customer Relations Coordinator at 800-447-3420 or the NJ Board of Public Utilities at 1-973-648-7865.

Residents with Comcast Cable TV who have service complaints should send a letter to Township Clerk Judy Allen.  The Township Committee will address complaints with Comcast at the next cable TV franchise renewal.

* Dog and Cat License fees have been increased. *

Effective January 1, 2017 the fee to license a spayed/neutered dog will be $11.00 each.
The fee to license an un-spayed/un-neutered dog will be $14.00 each.  The fee for cats per household will increase to $10.00.  Board of Health Ordinance  #2016-01BH.

Delaware Township has low and moderate affordable housing units for rent.  To be put on a waiting list, please fill out an application and return the notarized original to:

Water, sewer, association fees and garbage fees are all included in the rent.  Applications are available on the forms page of this website.


Delaware Township permits and subsidizes Accessory Apartments by private property owners for occupancy by moderate income tenants as required by the State of New Jersey.
