Delaware Township Household Cleanup Day 2026

WHERE: Delaware Township Public Works Garage, 816 Sergeantsville Road (Route 523), Stockton, NJ 0855
WHEN: April 25, 2026, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (must be in line by 10:15 a.m.)
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
• 50 permits will be issued for this cleanup day beginning on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday at the Township Police Station, Sergeantsville Road (Route 523), south of Sergeantsville. Proof of residency (e.g. driver’s license, current tax bill, etc.) must be provided at the time of application, along with a description of the vehicle that will be used and your best telephone contact information. Contact Dee Higgins at 609-397-8189 or [email protected] with questions about registering. • Permit fees (cash or check only): Passenger cars, Non-SUV $10.00 Mini-vans: smaller SUVs $20.00 Small pickup trucks; larger SUVs $30.00 Larger pickup trucks; oversized vans (in length, height or width) $35.00 Trailer only, up to 12 feet in length with no side extensions plus $2.00 per additional foot up to 18 feet $40.00 Tires: $5.00 each (limit of 10)
• Residents may obtain one permit for each cleanup day. A new permit must be obtained for each cleanup day.
• This permit must be presented at cleanup day before you will be allowed to unload your vehicle.
• Vehicle unloading will be done by the resident AND Township personnel. Items deemed to be unacceptable will be left on vehicles. Residents are requested to separate from bulky waste: Construction and Demolition wood; electronics – separate dumpsters will be available, and these are items to be unloaded by residents.

ITEMS ACCEPTED INCLUDE, but not limited to:
• Furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other household bulky waste
• Dehumidifiers and propane tanks
• Toys, bicycles, swings
• Tools, mowers, equipment, and all types of metals
• The acceptance of building materials is limited to one-half of a standard pick-up truck load and may not exceed four feet in length.
• Electronic equipment
ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED INCLUDE:
• Lithium Ion Batteries
• Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners
• Hazardous waste (gasoline, chemicals, explosives, etc.) – check the County website for their dates
