Now Hiring: Public Works Laborer

Description: Under the immediate or general supervision of the Director of Public Works and Road Supervisor this position performs various types of manual, skilled, and semi-skilled tasks involved in maintenance of public buildings, parks, grounds, roads, including, but not limited to chipping, landscaping, leaf/brush collection, shoveling, plowing, catch basin maintenance, road work, paving/patching, and other related duties as assigned and as needed. Candidate must be customer service oriented and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must have U.S. Citizenship, a High School diploma or equivalent, NJ residency, and a valid NJ CDL Class B license with air brake endorsement. Previous public works or roads experience is preferred. A pre-screen drug test and background check will be required upon hire. Must be available for emergency overtime. This is a 40-hour-per-week position under a Teamsters Local Union No. 469 contract, with a starting hourly rate of $32.09. Applications can be found on the Township website under Public Works.
