The Board of Health has requested that our township Animal Control Officer no longer trap healthy wildlife for township residents. 

Residents with Verizon land line telephone and/or high speed internet service who have service complaints should contact Verizon's Customer Relations Coordinator at 800-447-3420 or the NJ Board of Public Utilities at 1-973-648-7865.

Residents with Comcast Cable TV who have service complaints should send a letter to Township Clerk Judy Allen.  The Township Committee will address complaints with Comcast at the next cable TV franchise renewal.

175th Anniversary Events

The Recreation Commission will sponsor a 5K race on the morning of Community Day, Oct. 5th. The race will originate and end at the Dilts Farm Park. Runners at every skill level are welcome! Sponsors are welcome! Volunteers are needed and welcome! Please call Stef Dunn to volunteer.

Delaware Township will celebrate its 175th Anniversary in 2013.  The Township is starting to plan activities and events.  Many volunteers are needed! If you are interested in serving on a committee to organize the celebration, please call Judy Allen at 397-3240  Ext. 205.


The Township Historical Society and Senior Citizens’ Group are sponsoring a cookbook of family recipes.  If you would like your special recipe included in the Community Cookbook, please submit your favorite dish using the attached form.


175th Anniversary Tee-shirts are now on sale at the Township Building.  Adult S,M,L & XL $12  Youth M,L $10 - Cash or check payable to Delaware Township. 


Join us for the 175th Anniversary Sergeantsville Birthday Block Party on Saturday, June 15th from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Township Building Parking Lot. Delaware Township is in the process of creating Accessory Apartments by private property owners for occupancy by moderate income tenants as required by the State of New Jersey.

Homeowners who may be interested in providing accessory apartments should read the Accessory Apartment Handbook on this site, on our forms page, for an application and for a copy of the regulations.


No dogs, except any guide, service and/or working dog in use pursuant to the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, are allowed in the Delaware Township Municipal Building.

Volunteers needed to staff the monthly Recycling Depot at the Township Garage on the last Saturday of each month between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Good service project opportunity for teens!  Please come and help.
